Please prepare in advance when traveling with a child or infant.

Age limit
An accompanied child refers to a child that is over 2 years of age and under 12 years of age. An accompanied infant refers to an infant that is below 2 years of age. The adult traveling with the child or infant must be over 18 years old and a guardian of the child.

General regulations
An adult should not travel with more than 2 infants, one infant and two children, or three children.

You must obtain approval from Air China to travel with an infant. The infant should be over 14 days old and if premature, over 90 days old.

The accompanied child/infant must be in the same cabin as the accompanying adult. If the accompanying adult is not in the same cabin, then you must follow unaccompanied children procedures.

Ticket price
Children between the ages of 2-12 years old can travel using the Children Fare which is regulated by the carrier. Infants under the age of 2 years old can travel at a 90% discount of the published fare of first class, business class or economy class but will not have their own seat assignment. If you would like your infant to have an independent seat, please purchase Child Fare ticket. If you have more than one infant, please purchase a Child Fare ticket for the second infant. Electronic tickets on Air China are not currently available to infants.
